1910 – Boston Arena (now Matthews Arena), the first indoor ice hockey stadium still used in sports today, opens to the public.

1914 – Aeschylus’s Agamemnon makes his debut in Syracuse. It is the first edition of the classical performances at the Greek theater organized by the National Institute of Ancient Drama

1917 – Vladimir Lenin returns to Petrograd from exile to prepare for the October Revolution.

1919 – India: Gandhi organizes a day of prayer and abstention from work after the Amritsar massacre committed three days earlier.
