Pianoro (Bologna), 6 April 2024 – The Futa she returned to be scary after the terrible accident this afternoon, where they remained three motorbikes involved. It was almost 2pm, on the SS 65, in the Pianoro area, near the Casa Cantoniera, in the hamlet of Zula. A motorbike, driven by a young man 25 year old centaurwas coming down from Loiano in the direction of Pianoro. At a certain point, however, for reasons still to be clarified, right at the height of a curve, the motorcycle went into overdrive collide head-on with another motorbikeled by a 50-year-old centaur, who was climbing and proceeding opposite direction towards Loiano.
The impact between the two vehicles was devastating: the motorbikes were shattered on the asphalt. The 50-year-old man on the two-wheeler who was getting on was thrown disastrously to the ground. The other, the 25-year-old centaur, who was riding the motorbike going down the Futa, was in turn thrown to the ground, several meters away, but was then also hit by another motorbikea third, which was arriving shortly after, behind him, still on the road that goes from Loiano down to Pianoro.
The 118 health workers arrived on site, alerted by the many commuters who travel along the Futa at the weekend, especially on sunny days, with various means: two ambulances, a medical vehicle and, shortly after, also the air ambulance. The conditions of 25 year old centaurthey immediately seemed to be more seriousi: he was, in fact, airlifted to the Maggiore hospital under maximum severity code.
Fortunately, his condition improved in the following hours and he was downgraded to a medium severity code. The other motorcyclist involved in the head-on collision was also taken away with a medium severity code: he suffered multiple traumas and some fractures in the accident.
The firefighters then also arrived at the scene of the accident, with a vehicle from Pianoro and the carabinieri from the local station. The military took care of dI do the measurements of practices that will allow us to ascertain the causes of the head-on accident between the vehicles: the basis of the collision could be an incorrect maneuver by one of the two riders who would have narrowed the trajectory too much when cornering. There was also a police patrol in support of the accident Pianoro traffic police which was responsible for waiting for the roadway to be cleared of motorbikes and debris and for regulating the traffic which had been slowed down for a long time.
