“In Rai – adds Annunziata – we have always thought that what will then happen in the government of the country always happens first in the company. There is something revealing…”. For Ezio Mauro, former director of “La Repubblica” and founder of “Repubblica delle Idee”, “there is an excess of zeal in Rai of officials who try to do favors for their political predecessors. I have the impression that instead of dealing with the fascist legacy, this right has the opposite in mind: the prime minister wants to erase anti-fascism which is the source of legitimation of the first Republic. With a constitutional shakeup Meloni thus creates the second Republic.”

In the panel – entitled “The future of the country and Europe”, moderated by Serenella Mattera – Massimo Giannini, editorialist of Republic he has no doubts: “There are fascists in Viale Mazzini. And Malaguti reveals a background story: “Shortly after the electoral victory, I went to interview Meloni. She was lying on a sofa and she told me: “I have never been happy in my life and this is a country that doesn’t want to be saved.” She wanted to generate empathy. And I believe this ability to communicate should not be underestimated.”
