Important verdicts from the six recoveries played between Thursday and Friday in the Under 17 and Under 15 Serie C Championships. The Umbrians, thanks to Cresci’s winning goal, won 1-0 over Casertana, within the friendly walls of the “Paolo Rossi Sports Centre, while the Tuscans, tied with the Perugians on 37 points, beat Pineto 3-1. Two successes that allow both to reach 40 points in the standings, catch Pescara and Foggia in third place and overtake Latina and Monterosi, now fourth with 39 points. In group D, the “Carrieri” match between Monopoli and Messina ends 1-1 with goals from Totaro for the Apulians and Santoro for the Sicilians. A draw which slows down Monopoli’s attempt to catch up on Francavilla who is fourth in the standings with 44 points despite the 41 of the fellow regional players. In the other recovery 1-0 for Taranto over Crotone.
Great disappointment for Monopoli leaders of group D, now with 53 points. In the home match against Messina, with Maggiulli’s brace, which responds to the Sicilian double advantage of Errigo and Bellinvia, failing in the first real attempt to escape against Francavilla second on 51 points and still widely in play for the top of the table. 0-0 draw in the other injury time between Taranto and Crotone.
