Siracusa doesn’t win: at De Simone it ends 0-0 with Ragusa.
The afternoon at De Simone opened with the right tribute to the Siracusa women’s team who won the Italian Cup of Excellence.
For the Italians and for president Aziz, a tour of the pitch with the Cup and applause from the stadium.
Then all the attention was focused on the match between Siracusa and Ragusa, valid for the 33rd day of the Serie D championship, group I.
In the first half, the guests were the most dangerous: on three occasions the goalkeeper Lumia literally saved the goal from capitulation.
At 17′ Cess appears dangerously in front of Lumia who performs the miracle; Ragusa tries again 26′ with Romano: Lumia smacks and puts it in the corner; in the 30th minute it is once again Cess who goes close to the net, but Lumia once again gets a hand in and defends the result.
Siracusa, for its part, had a couple of occasions in which it became dangerous: in the 8th minute with a free kick kicked from the central midfield by Alma, but the opposing goalkeeper Grasso distanced it and in the 19th minute, again with Alma whose shot goes just wide.
The first half ended goalless with just one minute of injury time.
The start of the second half of the game opens with a more determined Siracusa: in the 1st minute, a dangerous shot from outside by Alma.
The blue number 21 tries again, at the end of an action that sees passes from Russot and Sena: the ball hits the crossbar.
To experience a new thrill you have to get to the 28th minute with the guest goalkeeper’s double save, first on Alma and then on Russotto.
The last minutes of the Italian team were in search of the winning goal which, however, did not arrive.
