(Rdl) ______ The legendary Hall 1 of the Cinema Massimo in Lecce was not enough with its almost seven hundred seats to contain the flood of people who went to see the premiere of the film last night Gino Brotto Flower with Raffaella DiCaprio.
A result that exceeded the organizers’ wildest expectations.
The screening was preceded by a presentation by Marco Renna: in the room were present the protagonist of the film Raffaella Di Caprio, the director Gino Grotto, the production Vito D’Agostino and Maria Antonietta Vacca, the author of the soundtrack Riccardo Notarpietro and the entire cast of the film.
A plot that moved, that made people laugh and smile.
A realism like those that are no longer seen in theaters and which marked the history and success of the great Italian cinema of a few decades ago. A delicate and profound plot that described the story of Fiore, a sensitive and reserved boy who grew up under the protective wing of two parents who passed away too soon, but who, in their own way, will also take care of their son after them .
Around this which remains the main crux of the film, there are many stories that revolve and act as a corollary, in a continuous resurfacing of memories, scents, sensations masterfully described by the eye of Gino Brotto’s camera and by the music of Riccardo Notarpietro.
“We exceeded expectations” declared the director Gino Brotto, “we filled the room, made the audience laugh, smile and excite us, we sweated under the sun, gave up days at the beach, we were called by Marzullo, by the most prestigious competition in Italy, the Donatello, they invited us to join Cinecittà , have published the film in very important national film publications, comingsoon, MYmovies, cinemainfo… We don’t yet know what else will come, but already today I’m sure we can feel more than satisfied. It is a community film without firsts or seconds, which started and ended in the streets, shot and set to music with passion and without “interests”. Thanks to those who were present last night and to those who came but did not enter, the projectionists told me that there was still a queue outside”.
Even the operators of the Massimo cinema itself were visibly satisfied: an audience for special occasions, which unfortunately are increasingly rare.
Finally, production also said they were fully satisfied. “We are delighted with the result and participation” declared Maria Antonietta Vacca “a result that can be attributed to all those who in various capacities made this miracle possible and which gives us new life and new energy to continue to do better and better“.
A film that enhances feelings and principles preserved in the folds of memories of a time perhaps not entirely lost and rediscovers ancient and still intact villages of Salento. After this exciting first, new goals are expected which will certainly not be long in coming.
