Livorno 28 March 2024 – Rescue exercises at sea: Fire Brigade of Livorno and Cecina test operational capabilities
Intense sea rescue exercises took place from 25 to 27 March. Fire Brigade personnel from the Livorno diving unit were involved in the exercises; of the Flight department of the Cecina office and the Port office. The simulations took place in the stretch of sea in front of Quercianella (LI), with the aim of testing operational capabilities in aquatic rescue scenarios.
The joint exercises allowed the firefighters to hone their skills and coordinate human and material resources to respond effectively to emergency situations at sea. Thanks to the collaboration between the different departments; it was possible to successfully simulate various rescue situations, ensuring a timely and coordinated response.
Aquatic training is of fundamental importance for the National Fire Brigade, considering; the crucial role they play in rescuing people in difficulty in marine and coastal waters. Through realistic simulations and constant preparation, firefighters are ready to face any eventuality to ensure safety and the protection of human lives.
