LUGANO – Natalia Ferrara and the UDC, yet another act. In recent days the liberal deputy had attacked Marco Chiesa, guilty of having promised only a few months ago to commit himself to Bern in his role as Councilor of States and then to run for the Municipality of Lugano. Now the democentrist section replies, accusing her of being rancorous and reiterating their support for Foletti.

Ferrara had revealed who she intends to vote for, after explaining that she did not run for town hall because she recently moved to Lugano and does not want to make hasty steps forward. “But my name is Ferrara, not Chiesa and not even Mirante”, he began to raise his tone, and then started with the attack on Chiesa: “I would like to thank all those who on several occasions show trust in me and urge me to contribute to the relaunching the party starting from the most politically and economically important city in the canton. To do this, I believe it is necessary to speak clearly and do so in favor of the municipal officials in office. First of all Roberto Badaracco, deputy mayor, and Karin Valenzano Rossi, who have been involved in the last four years and they want to be re-elected, as is the Mayor, Michele Foletti, who inherited a difficult witness and, honestly, does not deserve to be ousted by a political cousin who until a few months ago swore to commit himself to Bern to represent the people of Ticino and the people of Ticino and now, suddenly, he wants to enter the town hall in Lugano. The Councilor of States Marco Chiesa won the federal elections, it would be nice – and useful for Ticino (perhaps) – if he kept the commitment he made with the electorate just a few months does”.

The UDC now responds, mixing pepper with irony. “The rich dish to get into is always that of Marco Chiesa, hoping to be able to get noticed a little more. He tried at the federal elections, failing miserably. Now he’s back in office. No one knows where he gets all this rancor”, in fact we read it in a social note.

“One thing is certain, however, our gratitude. Every time he speaks badly of Marco, the UDC gains half a percentage point”, is the joking part.

But it’s not over: “In any case, she should get her ideas straight before making statements like those published recently on LiberaTV and the Region. Wasn’t it perhaps you who thundered against Moreno Colombo, guilty of having supported the candidate of another party in the last federal elections, denouncing him as a “traitor”? Well, how will your liberal colleagues define you now that you will be voting for a candidate from another party”, i.e. Foletti.

To finally conclude: “It being understood that we also support our Mayor”.
