A key meeting on the Nuova Marecchiese is scheduled for early April in Rome: the mayors of the area will in fact meet the technical designers of Anas, who we remind has expertise in maintenance and above all in redevelopment interventions on the route.
But there is concern within the Valmarecchia Futura committee about what was expressed by the Province’s technicians in the Vast Area Territorial Plan.
On the one hand, in fact, there is the architect Preger’s study, which identifies as key points: the improvement of the Pontemessa – Ponte Baffoni axis; a new route to the orographic right of the Marecchia in the Novafeltria-Ponte S. Maria Maddalena section and a few other improvements up to the municipality of Verucchio. “Going down towards Rimini everything is in limbo, so much so that Anas itself was asked to evaluate the best technical-economic solution in the Villa Verucchio-Rimini stretch”adds the Valmarecchia Futura committee.
Instead, the Vast Area Territorial Plan goes in the opposite direction: there is talk of the Novafeltria ring road on the orographic left of the Marecchia, in addition to the adaptation of the intersection between the Sp49 and the Marecchiese in San Martino dei Mulini. Solutions that the committee doesn’t like: “Province officials rain down solutions that are not shared with those who administer or live in those territories”.
The committee then calls the administrators to a common position of defense of the solutions suggested by Preger.
But the committee adds: “Leaving aside the rest, especially the connection with the E45, for which the Vast Area Territorial Plan takes up a project that is over a decade old and never realised, at the meeting we asked the technicians of the Province if there was a desire to create a new road system for Valmarecchia: they clearly expressed a negative opinion”.
And this “it goes against what was delivered to Anas and what was declared by the president of the Province of Rimini Jamil Sadegholvaad”which has repeatedly emphasized the need to improve inland roads.
“We cannot afford to put the revitalization project of our valley at risk. We ask the president of the Province if he knows the activities of his offices, given that they are going in a different direction”highlights the committee, which hopes that the meeting in Rome can represent “an important and clarifying stage for the creation of a new road network for Valmarecchia without uncertainties or inconsistencies”.
