Gianmarco Medusei, representative of the League and president of the Liguria Regional Council, flatly denies the rumors that he is on the verge of leaving the Northern League, as Mabel Riolfo, a lawyer from Ventimiglia who has just joined the Mixed Group for the ‘Liberal’ component, has already done. alongside Pippo Rossetti (Action) and Stefano Anzalone (Progresso Ligure).
In the margins of Riolfo’s exit, rumors had circulated about a possible similar step by two other Northern League members, Brunello Brunetto and Gianmarco Medusei, who were on the verge of moving to another majority formation, with Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia and Lista Toti among the natural suspects.
Medusei, however, firmly denies it: “I have never had any contact with Forza Italia, I deny the rumors of recent days that I am leaving the League to join Forza Italia. I have never had contact.”
Last March 19, Brunetto commented on the rumors about him as follows: “Now I think about the work I have to do in the council and commission, and we also have an important electoral appointment to focus on, let’s think about the European elections and the support of the League’s candidates. Let’s leave further evaluations until later.”
