The municipal administration of Vinci has recognized 435,540 euros of off-balance sheet debt as the funds necessary for urgent interventions to resolve the landslides on the streets of Sant’Amato, Via Carmignanese and Via San Lorenzo, caused by the heavy rains of recent years. 2 and 3 November 2023.

The amount, anticipated by the Municipality of Vinci with the immediate start of works in the affected areas, is covered in the budget with the corresponding sums transferred by the Department of Civil Protection.

“Unfortunately, after five months – says the mayor Giuseppe Torchiawe still find ourselves in an emergency phase, not yet overcome. To deal with this emergency and to make citizens and the territory safe, 1.2 million euros are needed, while those transferred so far and which we have at our disposal are only a small sum compared to the total needs”.

The Municipality of Vinci has assumed the responsibility of starting, in the most urgent manner, all the works necessary to make the territory safe from the risk of landslides, as well as the removal of those plants partially uprooted by atmospheric phenomena. Without these interventions many hamlets of our territory would have remained isolated.
