ATTACHMENTS For some time the cry “wolf, wolf” (which is certainly not Aesop’s fable) has been almost daily from Val Cordevole. On the lake shore (Rocca Pietore side) the cameras film the packs of wolves every evening, 7-10 depending on the moment. People with dogs on a leash fear it and reading the letter that arrived on the radio yesterday confirms this
Today from the mayor of Alleghe, Danilo De Toni, we receive and gladly publish: “Following the reports received regarding the presence of the wolf, I proceeded to inform the provincial police and write to the Prefect to bring the problem, which is now becoming worrying to the government bodies concerned”.

I just wanted to tell you what happened to me. Yesterday at 3.30pm I was between Caprile and Santa Maria with the dog…tied and I stress tied. Upon returning from nowhere I found myself faced with a wolf. Total panic. I had to be able to get back to Santa Maria but I had a bit of a walk. I started screaming at the top of my lungs and walked backwards… the wolf wasn’t scared and started following me until I reached the first houses in the town. I say followed because he has never raced. Always walked at a distance and without being aggressive but followed me. A doubt arises in my mind. Experts say you have to scream to make noise but he wasn’t afraid. It went well for me but if there was someone with an untied dog it went differently. This is a problem. A big problem because now it runs all the time and in broad daylight. The experts should have meetings with the population and they should tell us what needs to be done since they are not afraid of noise. What should we do in these cases? Maybe if I hadn’t had the dog he would have run away. The fact is that it was a terrible experience
