Luca Nardi ITA, 2003.08.06
Luca Nardi yesterday showed a video of himself training on his social media profiles, confirming his return to the field after the injury suffered during the ATP 250 tournament in Bucharest. The objective of the tennis player from the Marche region is clear: to be present in a few weeks at the Italian Internationals, where he is certain of having a place in the main draw.
Nardi was injured during the very unfortunate first round match in Bucharest against the Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild. A truly incredible match in which the blue was unable to take advantage of five match points, ending up hurting his ankle at the end of the third set.
The Rome Internationals represent an important milestone for Nardi, who before the injury had shown that he was in great shape. The young Italian had managed to get into the draw in Monte Carlo, where he lost in the first round against Félix Auger-Aliassime, and above all he had won the Challenger in Naples the previous week.
Nardi’s return to the court is positive news for Italian tennis, which hopes to see the talented player from the Marche shine at the Foro Italico.
