Siena Jazz among the winners of the MUR PNRR call

Siena Jazz triumphs among the winners of the PNRR tender “Next Generation EU” promoted by Ministry of University and Research. The Sienese institution wins a loan worth a lot 1,634,295.00 euros which are part of the over 87 million euros allocated and which sees Siena Jazz aligned with the most prestigious Italian institutions, such as the Academy of Fine Arts of Milan, the Conservatory of Turin and the Academy of Art and Fashion of Florence. Jazz Ablecreated and presented by Siena Jazz, sees the involvement of G. Frescobaldi Conservatory of Ferrara and CPM Music Institute of Milan. The project will be presented during theInternational Jazz DayThe 30 April at 4.00 pm in the Sala Sant’Ansano at the Santa Maria della Scala Museum Complexin Siena.
A moment of aggregation in music, theInternational Jazz Dayduring which independent artists and organizers of all more than 190 countries they present an astonishing array of performance, educational and community outreach programs each year. Siena Jazz specifically chose this day as a significant moment presided over and guided by UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay and the legendary jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancockfor which “Jazz has a spirit of openness that calls us all to look beyond our differences, not only breaking barriers, but also promoting peace” and Jazz Able it is all of this in its entirety.

In the San Pio hall of the Santa Maria della Scala the musicians, students of Siena Jazz, will perform a performance in the dark to offer an experience that overturns the usual perception of a concert by listening to music in the dark.
