“Together for a common purpose” is the name of the project that the Municipality of Giovinazzo, in its leading role with the equal opportunities department, has implemented in synergy with the Municipalities of Bitonto, Molfetta and Palo del Colle by participating in a call for tenders Anci Puglia and obtaining funding from the Puglia Region.

Tomorrow, Thursday 9 May, from 2.30 pm in the council room of the Palazzo di Città di Giovinazzo, training courses for employees begin, held by expert professionals, aimed at overcoming the gender gap also found in public administrations where they persist, as in other areas workplace, discriminatory stereotypes to the detriment of women.

The project is divided into three distinct areas: knowledge, with five modules of four hours each, for a total of twenty hours; the experience with consultancy workshops divided into four subgroups for a total of forty hours; communication, i.e. the return to each Municipality of the results achieved both within the structure and externally through citizen assemblies.

The actions that will be implemented concern the adoption of gender language in administrative documents and the drafting of the gender budget. Participants who have attended at least 75% of the total hours will be issued a certificate of participation. The courses will end next October. In the second phase, the anti-violence centers in the Giovinazzo-Molfetta and Bitonto-Palo del Colle areas will also be involved.
