Sabrina Di Stefano, a historic Forza Italia activist and manager of Fincantieri, has been fired. She insulted a Roman taxi driver, who refused to inflate her receipt for the ride, in order to obtain a higher refund.
She asked the taxi driver to inflate her receipt for the ride to Rome, to get a bigger refund, when he refused to do so, she insulted him. The protagonist of the story is Sabrina Di Stefano, Forza Italia activist and manager of Fincantieria leading state company in the shipbuilding sector, which once identified was fired. The taxi driver himself reported the incident, the victim of the woman’s insistent request. The scene was filmed by a camera inside the car and published on the Instagram page Welcome to Favelas on Friday, June 7.
The exchange between Di Stefano and the taxi driver
The video clearly shows what happened when the taxi finished its ride. “Can you give me a receipt?” the top manager of Fincantieri asks the taxi driver, who politely replies “sure,” takes a pad and pen and writes. “Can you give me one for 20 euros?” she presses him. And the taxi driver, rightly, counters: “No, like 20 euros? I’ll give it to you for how much you paid me.” And she insists: “What difference does it make, excuse me?” “Change, change,” he continues. “Tell me what change does it make!” In short, the dialogue continues with various back-and-forths. “What change does it make to you, excuse me?” the taxi driver turns the question around. Then the truth: “That they reimburse me a little more,” Di Stefano confesses. “Eh, and nothing to me though,” the taxi driver ends the conversation, tearing the sheet of paper from the pad and passing it to her in the back seat. She, unhappy at not having gotten what she wanted, replies, offending the taxi driver: “Stay the same asshole you are!”.
However, he doesn’t respond in the same way, he laughs at the fact that she had tried, but that the ploy of the inflated receipt for the increased refund hadn’t worked with him. “Above all, nice and very polite, congratulations” he tells her. Di Stefano finally opens the door saying: “I understand she is a frustratedwho has to do with people” and leaves. Di Stefano, Fincantieri’s top manager, and after the episode in which she was the protagonist, she went from asking for a 20 euro receipt to finding herself fired.
