For Nokia Lumia lovers it could be a dream come true: the famous series of smartphones, which was successful at the time (but not enough), he was about to return: not with the Windows Phone operating system, so there doesn’t seem to be any intention to resurrect it; but the name and characteristic design would be ready to return by hosting the most popular Android.

According to rumors, it will go back on sale within the year and it will have the appearance of the Lumia 920 model, still considered by many to be one of the best in terms of handling. From the images leaked online, no major changes appear to have been made to the body, which maintains its squared frame with rounded edges, really comfortable to hold.

The bezels still appear thin, this time on all four sides because the capacitive buttons at the base have been removed and the speaker and other sensors have been repositioned on the upper edge, in favor of a full screen front.

The technical specifications

It is rumored to feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel, housed in a chassis that comes in four color variants – black, blue, yellow and pink – much appreciated at the time, presumably still made of premium plasticalso this for many a valid alternative to the now omnipresent glass or metal plates.

It should be a phone medium-high range with all the features that we find in the price range around €500, starting from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor flanked by 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of capacity.

And then IP67 certification to resist immersion and bad weather without the need for special cases, NFC module for electronic payments and, like its good old predecessor, the 3.5 mm jack socket for headphones.

The photographic sector is also good, consisting of three lenses on the back, with a main sensor of 108 MP, 8 MP ultra-wide angle and 2 MP macro; the front one instead seems to be 32 MP.

Last details to be defined

Code name SkylineAndroid updates will be supported for at least three years, followed by only security ones.

It remains to be seen whether HMD Global will choose to brand the Android terminal as Lumia or whether it will opt for a new name.: The company currently holds most of the trademarks and patents of the Lumia series, but the very name “Lumia” should still be owned by Microsoft.
