In a recent panel at Indonesia Anime Con, Motomu Toriyama – co-director of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – talked about what we can expect fromlast chapter of the FF7 remake saga.
In short, he promised that he will answer the remaining questions and create an even better ending than the original one.
Toriyama’s words on the latest Final Fantasy 7 Remake
The information, shared in a short clip on Twitter as you can see below, explains that “Motomu Toriyama said he wanted add more exploration in the third FF7R and that he wanted to do his best to give the final game a satisfying ending, even better than that of the original FF7.”
It is then indicated that “Personally, Toriyama found it the Gold Saucer event as the most memorable part. It seems like he made an extra effort to improve the appointments and performance quality compared to the original.”
“As far as exploration goes, he wants players to be able to explore more freely the world of the game. They’re trying to incorporate the visual with new mechanics.”
Obviously it will take years before the last part of the saga is ready. However, Rebirth producer Yoshinori Kitase recently spoke about the fact that the second installment was completed in three years thanks to the development team remaining intact from Remake. The same goes for the currently unnamed third part, so could we hope for it to be completed in a similar timeframe?
