Anna Pudia from Catanzaro will participate in the European CrossFit competitions in Madrid

“It’s not a sport, but a lifestyle.” This is how Anna Pudia describes the discipline that changed her life and which in 2018 saw her open her first CrossFit facility in Catanzaro, called “CF BOX 713”.

Born in 1987, Anna Pudia graduated in Bologna first in Physical Education and then completed her studies with a master’s degree in management of physical and sports activities. It was during her studies that she was attracted to CrossFit and fell in love with it. There were still only a few box gyms present throughout Italy, but as soon as she returned to Catanzaro, she decided to turn that passion into a profession, first as a simple instructor and then as the owner of a box gym in via dei Conti Ruffo, 15 / AND.

Anna loves CrossFit because it has changed her life in every sense: “I stopped smoking and the discipline acquired allows me to be more rational and stable in everyday life.” “My mission, however – she explains – is to be able to change the lives of people who approach this sport to find both physical and mental balance. I find much more satisfaction in following people who want to feel better even by being able to lift a box of water that used to be a boulder or seeing people who manage to complete an entire circuit when at the beginning they had difficulty doing a squat”.

“Crossfit – says Anna – is not an aggressive and hard sport, but it adapts to the person who practices it and every day I study a personalized method for each client who relies on us. This sport helps you fight your limits, both physical and mental, and overcome them. Last November you created a women’s circuit called “Body Shape”, aimed at a female audience who wants to define and sculpt their body, giving it shape and tone. A total body cardio training circuit, aimed at weight loss and metabolic rebalancing of the body.

“As far as the athletes are concerned, however, this sport – concludes Pudia – at a competitive level requires 360 degree preparation, because there are different disciplines that can occur in the competition and you always need to keep up to date. I hope to give my best in Madrid in the races, but above all I hope to have fun.”
