The statements from Nintendo’s upper echelons on the timing for the reveal of Switch 2 push the well-known insider PH Brazil to share some new, interesting indiscretions on the lineup of announcements that the Kyoto company, according to him, should follow between now and the next few months.
Having resurfaced on social media to help the community shed light on the plans that Nintendo intends to follow to present Switch 2 to the public, the ‘deep throat’ of the Big N which in the past has repeatedly demonstrated its reliability, says it is certain of the fact that the gaming giant Japanese intends to launch the new Switch console model in March 2025, complete with an official presentation which should arrive between the months of September and November.
The complete reveal of the nextgen model of Switchaccording to PH Brazil, will be preceded by the already confirmed Direct in June, during which we should witness the presentation of further remastered video games from the classic game library of the Kyoto house (did someone say The Legend of Zelda and Metroid?).
According to the insider, the Nintendo Roadmap 2024 should also include a Indie World event in August and, perhaps, a Partner Direct later this year. But that is not all. Also as suggested by PH Brazil, third-party development houses that are developing multiplatform titles on Switch 2 will be allowed to cite the ‘Switch successor’ among the supported consoles starting from the month of June; of these, a couple of triple A titles should be announced specifically for Switch 2 in the second half of 2024.
