Over the weekend, the Moon Studios team released thehotfixes 6 for the promising No Rest for the Wicked, the action RPG from the authors of Ori and the Blind Forest available in early access for a few days. The update brings with it a decent list of changes, among which there is also a new object, the torch.
As you can imagine, this tool, which can be equipped in the off-hand, is basically used for shed light in the darkest environments of the game. The torch can be purchased from Whittacker’s shop and crafted at the workbench.
Some have also been added balance changes. In particular, the most interesting concerns the Cerim Crucible, where the enemies in the most dangerous rooms have now been weakened and those in the simpler rooms have been strengthened, in order to make the experience less frustrating but at the same time not too accommodating.
The other changes in the update
There have also been some optimizations on the performance side, demonstrating the commitment of the developers after the criticism raised by the players. Memory usage for general rendering, fog, and other game systems has been reduced, and shadow rendering for all visual effects has been improved.
There is also a long list of fixes for various problems, from flaws related to animations and collisions to crashes and localization. Find them official hotfix 6 notes of No Rest for the Wicked at this address.
