Updates

The new Star Citizen requirements

So let’s see what’s new. Star Citizen requires a PC that can handle AVX instructions. A PC without one CPU eligible will not start it. Additionally, the GPU must have at least 4GB of VRAM and support Vulkan 12.

Star Citizen is a truly expensive title in terms of resources consumed. Requires at least a Quad Core with 16 GB of RAM. For Cloud Imperium you must have at least an AMD Bulldozer and an Intel i7, but the reality is that the weight of the game is such that to play at its best you have to look much higher, as we will see with the recommended requirements.

As for the GPUs, we are talking about NVIDIA GTX1060, AMD RX 5700, RX Vega 56, RX 460 or Intel A380. Again, we think they’re fine just for starting the game and running it minimal detail.

THE recommended requirements instead they talk about a Quad or Eight Core Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, and 32 GB of RAM. Strangely, no specific GPUs are indicated, but it is said that you need an 8GB VRAM video card compatible with DirectX 12.

For the rest, installing Star Citizen requires 100 GB of free space. The use of an SSD is recommended. Who knows what the final requirements will be, given the years of development.
