WhatsApp changes interface: now it’s used like this
Descriptive text here

WhatsApp has announced, and already released in Italy, an update that changes the interface of the app for Android: new navigation bar at the bottom and goodbye swipe

There has been talk for some time about the arrival of one new interface for the app Whatsapp for smartphones Android and, now, after several appearances within the beta apps, the news has actually arrived on theofficial app, the one we all use. Also in Italygiven that the launch of the new interface was global and for all markets and, as always happens with WhatsApp’s global updates, those who still don’t see the news just have to wait a bit.

New WhatsApp interface: what changes

There new WhatsApp interface it is different mainly because of the tab bar, which passes from the top of the window to the bottom. Also change the color: from dark green with white characters to white with black characters.

It also changes arrangement of icons through which you access the various tabs. Now, from left to right, there are these icons: Chat, Updates, Community, Calls.

The tab Chat it is the one that contains all personal and group conversations, but not those within communities (accessible from the tab Community). The tab Updates allows us to access the statuses of our contacts and the channels to which we have subscribed. There is also the icon “+” which allows you to create a new channel or search for other channels.

The tabs Community And Calls they don’t need much explanation while the rest of the interface has not undergone changes.

But the real news, deriving from moving the tabs from the top to the bottom of the app, is the fact that it is no longer possible to swipe to move from one tab to another: now you need to tap on the single icon.

Users don’t approve

Whatsapp states that with the new interface the icons that matter are closer and at your fingertips, but not all users are happy with this change. Many, in fact, commented on the announcement of the new interface, pointing out that there are other changes they would have preferred to see.

For example, many people ask for the possibility of remove the Communities taba function that seems very unwelcome and used by users.

Still others, however, return to ask for it separationin a special tab, of the group chat (perhaps just in place of the Community tab). Finally, there are those who ask WhatsApp to eliminate the writing “This message has been deleted“.

WhatsApp developers, therefore, are working hard to update the app and make it easier for users to use but, since users are over 2 billion around the world, it is literally impossible to please them all.
