Easy victory in Fermo, Pescara finishes sixth

We needed to win and at least this time Pescara achieved their objective. And he even does it with ease in a context, with a small field and few intimates in the stands, which seems more like a regional amateur and not a professional championship. Thanks to the concomitant misstep of Juventus NG, the biancazzurri finished the championship in sixth place, which doesn’t hurt in terms of the playoffs.

Cascione relies on Floriani on the right, brings back Franchini as midfielder with Dagasso and Tunjov to close a midfield without Squizzato (suspended) and Aloi (injured). Cuppone is back in front, preferred to Vergani.

The home canaries immediately give the clear impression of having abdicated, Pescara takes very little to put the match on the right tracks.

Accornero immediately came close to taking the lead which, however, materialized shortly after. The marking is by the usual Merola, whose diagonal passes between the legs of the home goalkeeper. The Biancazzurri play on velvet and at the end of the half they place the blitz of 0-2. Very nice goal by Franchini with a left-footed shot.

As soon as they returned from the rest, here was the trio: Milani’s volley well served by Merola.

Tunjov, on whom Cascione has decided to bet, also wants to take part in the festive evening: the Estonian’s free-kick, however, hits the post.

Fermana’s nervousness leads Carosso to get sent off: plenty of half an hour to play, Pescara are ahead 3-0 and with the extra man.

Cascione, rightly, offers minutes to Cangiano, Vergani, De Marco, Sasanelli and even Capone who, since his arrival on the January transfer market, has scraped together a paltry 118 minutes on the pitch.

There is very little left to report, other than the Canaries’ goal scored by Giandonato from Abruzzo.

The official defeat of Juventus NG arrives, in the playoffs with sixth place Pescara has earned some small advantage.
