COMMON PLATFORM
Destined to replace both the small A1 and the Q2 crossover in one fell swoop, theAudi A2 and-tron (the name is not yet definitive) should be presented by the end of 2026 and arrive in dealerships in the spring of 2027. Long circa 420 cmis made on the same MEB platform of the cousins Volkswagen ID.3 and Cupra Born and from the first images of the prototypes engaged in pre-production tests the relationship is quite evident: in our reconstruction of this page we also find on the Ingolstadt model the rounded shapeswith a very short front bonnet and plenty of space left for the passenger compartment.
REFERENCES TO THE PAST
However, the customization of the Audi is evident and can be found in the large one mask closed, at the center of a front which features two thin headlights on the sides, which recall other recent models from the German company. There side It’s clean, with rounded wheel arches and retractable door handles. In the part rear the narrow lights are connected to each other by an LED strip that crosses the tailgate. And it is precisely this last which is the most distinctive element of theAudi A2 and-tron: the rear window divided into two, which integrates a spoiler glued to the glass, recalls that of the small minivan A2 produced between 1999 and 2005.

Like the cousins with whom it shares the platform, theAudi A2 and-tron he will be alone electric and with rear or all-wheel drive (in this case an electron motor is also mounted on the front axle) with powers between 170 and 340 HP. Batteries of 60 or 80 kWh are foreseen, capable of supporting direct current charging up to almost 200 kW. THE’autonomy declared, with the larger “battery”, it should exceed 600 km.
