The film with Brad Pitt on Formula 1 will be in cinemas around the world in June 2025. It is an Apple Originals production, directed by Joseph Kosinski. Warner Bros. Pictures has secured distribution rights in both the United States (June 27) and worldwide (June 25). Made in collaboration with Formula 1, the new film is immersed in the exhilarating and cinematic world of motors, and filming takes place during the races scheduled on the sporting calendar. In addition to Pitt, the cast includes Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles and Kim Bodnia. Seven-time F1 world champion Sir Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films also participated in the production.

The film still doesn’t have a title. The Wolfs star plays a former driver returning to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at Apxgp, a fictional team on the grid. The film was shot on actual Grand Prix weekends, racing against the titans of the sport. In addition to directing, Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) also produces with Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman for Jerry Bruckheimer Films and Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner for Plan B Entertainment. Ten F1 teams and their drivers also collaborated on the film. The screenplay was written by Ehren Kruger (Top Gun: Maverick). The theatrical release will include Imax theaters.
