The third day of competition of the Hamburg stage of the rugby sevens circuit ended on Sunday Rugby Europe Sevens Championship Series.
Italy 7s
The Azzurri of National Men’s 7strained by Matthew Mazzantinithey won the first match of the day against Spain, then losing against Georgia.
The Blues of Diego Sacca they instead gave in to Portugal, but managed to maintain their permanence in the Championship. It is precisely on this point that the coach of the Femminile 7s wanted to take stock:
“Despite the fact that we participated in the two stages of Makarska and Hamburg with two quite different groups, we managed to maintain the right to participate in this competition, putting in all the effort possible. That’s why I’m happy, the girls gave their all in all the matches, preparing for a very high level tournament, against teams participating in the World Series, adapting to a discipline other than 15-a-side rugby.”
