As reported in Brazil, the Nerazzurri club was willing to make an offer of 15 million euros for the Athletic goalkeeper, which was ultimately rejected by the Brazilians. The same amount that they ultimately invested in Viale della Liberazione for the Spaniard from Genoa.
With Inter out of the picture, Liverpool, from England, as well as Sporting and Benfica, from Portugal, remain the main clubs interested in Bento.
