Very special evening for Cristiano Ronaldo in Gelsenkirchen in match between Georgia and Portugalvalid for the third round of the group stage of Euro2024. After the defeat of his national team, and the third match without goals for the ex Juventus, CR7 risked being hit by a fan who was trying to reach him. The Portuguese striker, in fact, was leaving the pitch after the match and was entering the tunnel that leads to the changing rooms, when a fan, ready to do anything for a photo with the player, jumped from the stands and risked to end up on the former Juventus player. ‘Saved’ only by the intervention of security, who avoided contact by chasing the supporter.
Too many invasions, Ronaldo annoyed
The stewards and the fans then all fell down the stairs, under the incredulous eyes of a Ronaldo who was clearly amazed by the situation. This is yet another episode of ‘invasion’ with CR7 hero. During the previous one Portugal’s European Championship challenge against Turkey, there were five pitch invasions. And Ronaldo also started to show a bit of frustration at these particular gestures from the fans.
