The right title would be Serbia returns to the field. After participating in the Volleyball Nations League with the second and third groups, the national team led by Giovanni Guidetti with all its champions has resumed training to arrive at the top at the Paris Games.
Today, June 27, the senior women’s national team of Serbia will finish the first fundamental part of their preparation in Kopaonik. The seniors will return to Belgrade in the afternoon, where they will continue working for the XXXIII Olympic Games. Guidetti announced that training will resume on Monday 1 July.
Ognjenovic and her teammates will train in Belgrade until Monday 8 July, when they are scheduled to leave for Italy, where Serbia will play two friendly matches against Italy. The first match will be played at PalazzoWanny in Florence, Tuesday 9 July, starting at 7:00 pm. The second match will be played on Wednesday 10 July, starting at 1.00 pm, and after the match the return to Belgrade is scheduled.
After a short stay in Belgrade, Serbia will leave for Poland where they will play the Memorial Agata Mroz, a Polish player who died prematurely. The tournament will take place in the “Mosir” hall in Mijelec, from 16 to 19 July. Poland, Serbia, Dominican Republic and France will participate in the tournament.
The return to Belgrade is scheduled for Saturday 20 July and the trip to Paris on Tuesday 23 July.
The senior women’s national team of Serbia, bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, will play in Pool A of the XXXIII Olympic Games 2024 in Paris with France, China and the United States.
