The match calendar of the European Football Championships

The men’s European football championships, which this year will be held in Germany, begin on Friday evening. The opening match will be between the national team of the host country and Scotland (at 9pm), while Italy will play its first match on Saturday evening against Albania (also at 9pm). In total there are 24 participating teams, divided into six groups, and the group stage of the tournament will last from 14 to 26 June: the top two in each group will advance to the round of 16, plus the four best third-placed teams (based on points scored and depending on the difference between goals scored and conceded). Until 26 June, matches are scheduled every day (at 3pm, 6pm and 9pm), then two days of rest before the direct elimination phase: the final will be on 14 July at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
