Is Awudu Abass waiting for Virtus Bologna? But in the meantime…

Awudu Abass, a 1993-born Italbasket winger who will go to San Juan de Puerto Rico to try to win the Pre-Olympic, is at the center of many transfer rumours, including the renewal with Virtus Bolognabut also the possible move to Olimpia Milano or Trapani Shark.

In an interview with Fabrizio Fabbri on Il Corriere dello Sport he talked about the future and said that he is waiting for Virtus Bologna, and in the meantime he is looking around so as not to be left without a team:

“The national team and the Pre-Olympic are at the top of my thoughts. I’m waiting for Virtus as soon as they decide to come to me. In the meantime, however, I look around. My contract expires on June 30th and I can’t risk being without a team by waiting.” said Awudu Abass on the renewal negotiations with Virtus Bologna, which however are slow to start, according to his words.

In short, the VuNere are niched, according to Abi, while the Trapani and Milanese are pushing hard to enjoy the performances of the Como winger from the former Brescia and Cantù team. We’ll see in the end whether Valerio Antonini will convince him to become “The King of Trapani”, as the president of the Sicilians said.
