Magical “treble” for the Polisportiva Sant’Antonio

Season to remember for the Polisportiva Sant’Antonio, a sports reality from Pegli present in the area since 2011, which boasts a women’s and men’s volleyball sector that embraces practically all categories, from S3 to the women’s D series, up to the first team in men’s C series.

There is also a bit of Sant’Antonio in Colombo Genova, to which the Polisportiva has loaned high-level athletes and in the men’s A2 and A3 of the next volleyball season, with the Biasotto brothers, Manuel and Morgan, who grew up in the youth teams of the Pegliese society.

A sporting year characterized by the good results obtained in the men’s sector but, above all, by the triple promotion to the higher category in the women’s sector and by a second place in the U12 territorial finals, synonymous with excellent general work done during the year which led, to end, its fruits.

The first finish line was achieved by the Second Women’s Division coached by Chiara Sclifò with the support of Daniele Sacco and Davide Insogna. The girls achieved mathematical promotion to the first division with four days to spare. This is the winning squad of the category: Arianna Golin (K), Martina Mulone, Serena Prevignano, Sofia Savyska, Teresa Scarcella, Giulia Di Bella, Maddalena Ghigliotti, Asia Agostini, Martina Lamari, Caterina Remaggi, Thea Scavino, Carola Canepa, Francesca Banderali, Claudia Avanzino, Eneida Rakipi.

The second team to win promotion is coach Roberto Bontempo’s first women’s division, which earned passage to Serie D at the end of a championship characterized by only two defeats and a “clear path” in the play offs, ahead of the strong teams of Volare and Normac. A team made up of promising young players and more experienced girls who, game after game, built a real group and a team with a capital S, qualities that made the difference. These are the protagonists: Giulia Benvenuto (K), Giorgia Ferraris, Chiara Sclifò, Paola Trentini, Sveva Bassi, Daria Stefanelli, Cristina Caprile, Elena Parentini, Alessandra Bruzzone, Lucia Mortara, Elisa Cherchi, Roberta Paolucci, Deborah Campioni, Chiara Giordano, Olivia Maria Nobile, Giulia Bottiglieri, Valentina Clabot and the U18 athletes Viola Molinari, Giulia Di Bella and Serena Prevignano.

Similar satisfaction in the women’s third division, coached by coach Massimo Minetto, who won promotion to the second division at the end of a championship conducted at the top. The young promises made the most of the sacrifices made throughout the year and deservedly achieved this great finish line. This is the winning group: Chiara Monti, Giada Chiusamonti, Vittoria Verrina (K), Alice Parisoli, Matilde Parisoli, Sofia Sidari, Martina Spinelli, Beatrice Lolli Ghetti, Costanza Bova, Viola Molinari, Gaia Zedda, Sara Ferrari, Alessia Ferrari and Emma Zanda .

The latest satisfaction comes from the Under 12 team who achieved an excellent second place in the territorial finals, losing in the final only against Colombo Genova. The team coached by Roberto Basacchi proves to be on par with the greatest, playing a top championship. This is the U12 squad: Beatrice Loche, Arianna Brunelli, Greta Basacchi, Sveva Basacchi (K), Grajsi Rakipi, Grabriella Simoni, Agata Merello, Maddalena Sacco, Giulia Senes, Giulia Vescovo, Stefan Lungu and Andrea Maestrini.
