What happened in Chile yesterday is sensational, or perhaps it is a product of our times. In the middle of a funeral wake, the guests at the function, probably also relatives of the “dearly departed”, thought well of “deserting” the event to attend the debut of the Chilean national team in the Copa America: to witness the event, a video that is literally becoming popular on various social networks, in which the uncovered coffin is clearly visible with the funeral guests looking towards the wall, where the match was projected which Chile then drew 0-0 against Peru, at the end of a race worthy of… a funeral!
Needless to say, the video in question has triggered various reactions on social media: ranging from irony to jokes of various kinds, based mostly on the death of the person in question due to the lack of entertainment offered by the match between Chile and Peru, also for the indignation for those who put a football match ahead of tragic events such as the death of a loved one. What is certain is that, in the era of social networks, we will unfortunately have to get used to such “eccentric” attitudes.
