Quesada, may our work inspire

(ANSA) – L’AQUILA, JUNE 21 – “With the team we have done a thorough job, trying to define the primary objectives, among these there is certainly that of being an inspiration for those who follow us”. On the eve of the departure of the summer tour in the Pacific, the technical commissioner of the men’s national rugby team, Gonzalo Quesada, speaks to the press gathered at the Fattori stadium for a final finishing session with open doors in which the Azzurri gathered the enthusiasm of the Aquila, a city traditionally linked to the oval ball. “We worked with the team in Verona, Treviso, Parma, through sessions and meetings – he recalls – Then we carried out preparations in Rome in view of the Six Nations matches. I enthusiastically accepted the proposal to carry out training sessions in L’Aquila, where there is the ideal climate for working, even if it is really hot these days. Feeling the enthusiasm of the many young people in the stands – he concluded looking at young people gathered in the stands – makes us proud of our work”. Until at least 2026 the national team will hold its summer meetings in L’Aquila. The agreement, as already during the 2023/24 season, will also bring the national junior men’s and women’s teams to the ‘Fattori’ pitch. (HANDLE).
