Twenty-four hours before kick-off of the United Rugby Championship final between the Bulls and Glasgow Warriors, the South African franchise has announced that Loftus Versfeld will be sold out in every seating order.

A great success with the public for the final act of the championship: it is only the third time that the Pretoria stadium, which has around 50 thousand seats, has been sold out for a Bulls game.

It will be an opportunity for the two teams to replenish their respective teams. The South Africans have won 3 Super Rugbys, plus the Super Rugby Unlocked played in 2020 during the pandemic, the last in chronological order. The Scots boast only one glorious title of the then Pro12 in 2015 with a team that included among its ranks Finn Russell, Stuart Hogg, the best Leone Nakarawa, Jonny Gray, DTH van der Merwe and Duncan Weir, the latter the only survivor of the team from 9 years ago who will also play in this final.

For the match, taking place on Saturday 22 June at 6pm, Glasgow’s South African coach Franco Smith proposes the same XV capable of knocking out the reigning champions Munster. Sione Tuipulotu and Huw Jones will combine as usual in the middle of the field, while in the third line the Scottish international trio of Matt Fagerson, Rory Darge and Jack Dempsey bring great balance to the department.

The Bulls recover Kurt-Lee Arendse, injured in the semi-final, but lose to Willie le Roux, key to beating Leinster a week ago.

The race will be directed by Andrea Piardi, assisted by the Irishman Frank Murphy and the Welshman Craig Evans, Matteo Liperini will be the TMO. It will be broadcast on TV on Sky Sport Arena.
