A memorial in memory of Sabrina Cruciani, who passed away prematurely in April this year (read the article). The Castelraimondo tennis club organized it within the Fitp Tpra circuit. A scoreboard for men’s doubles, one for women’s singles and one for women’s doubles were organized which, in the beautiful setting of the club completely surrounded by greenery, saw the participation of tennis players from all over the Marche region who competed on the red clay in a successful event beyond all expectations.
The 18 participants in the women’s doubles tournament
The tournaments started on Saturday and the men’s doubles tournament was won by the pair Gian-Luca Marucci and Dante Amicihome players, against Rolando Properzi and Gino Urbani of Fermo. The women’s singles, which started on Saturday with 8 players on the draw, was won on Sunday afternoon Letizia Carradori on Alessia Pomanti, while the extraordinary participation of the 18 athletes registered for the women’s doubles was the great success of the event. The women’s doubles took place entirely on Sunday and saw the pair formed by win Silvia Bacaloni and Federica Micozzi of Macerata up Eleonora Ciarlantini and Eleonora Grellonialso from Macerata.

«There was a moment of pure emotion during the awards ceremony for the words of the president of the Castelraimondo Tennis club, Claudio Cioli, who remembered dear Sabrina Cruciani, beloved tennis player and friend of all the members of the club and of the entire community of Castelraimondo – we read in a note from the organizers -. Sabrina’s daughter, Emma, awarded the winners and finalists and her entire family was present. At the end of the day, an aperitif was offered to all the participants and all the spectators who attended in large numbers both to watch the intense and fun day of tennis and to honor the memory of their deceased friend. The club sincerely thanks all those who participated and who were present, giving life to an extraordinary weekend of sport, conviviality and participation.”
