The 28 year old would become the sixth Italian behind Jannik Sinner (number 1), Lorenzo Musetti (number 30), Matteo Arnaldi (number 34), Luciano Darderi (number 37 or number 34 if he wins the Perugia Challenger, overtaking Arnaldi), and Flavio Cobolli (number 49). It should be noted that if Berrettini were to lose the final and at the same time the Indian Sumit Nagal were to win the Perugia Challenger, then the Italian would be number 66 in the world.
