SBK, SSP: lap canceled at Huertas, Montella takes pole at Misano with Manzi 3rd

UPDATE – Adrian Huertas and the Aruba Racing team’s celebrations did not last long. The Spanish driver had the time that had earned him the pole position canceled shortly after the conclusion of the Superpole, for having exceeded the track limits in turn 13. It will therefore be Yari Montella who starts ahead of everyone in the two races on the Adriatic Riviera , with Stefano Manzi completing the front row.

This is the updated ranking:

Adrian Huertas won the SuperSport qualifying at Misano, taking pole position with a time of 1’36’843. It wasn’t a walk in the park for the Spaniard, current leader of the standings by just one point, because those who follow him very closely in the generalor Barni’s standard bearer Yari Montella, tried until the last moment to conquer pole with a final assault on the clock almost at the end which allowed him to close just 33 thousandths behind Huertas, giving Ducati a one-two.

Stefano Manzi will also be in the front row, who however took over 6 tenths from the Ducati duo, while the second row sees Debise in 4th position ahead of Tuuli and Can Oncu, the first Kawasaki rider on the grid. Seventh time for Federico Caricasulo, ahead of a finally very incisive Oli Bayliss. Jorge Navarro closes the third row ahead of two Italians, with Ottaviani 10th ahead of veteran Simone Corsi, who continues to be very fast. It wasn’t a great qualifying for Marcel Schroetter, fourth overall, just two points behind Huertas. In fact, the German will only have to start from 12th position on the grid.
