Celebratory t-shirts for June 14th donated by voluntary associations
SIENA. “Generosity at the goal”. This was the slogan with which Siena celebrated June 14th, World Blood Donor Day. Specifically, it was a collective blood donation which saw the Cus Siena Rugby athletes as protagonists, true testimonials of the event, who went to the Blood Transfusion Center of the Siena University Hospital to carry out their gesture. of solidarity, many of them already being regular donors. Present at the initiative, as always, are the local voluntary associations Anpas, Avis, Cri, Donatori di Sangue delle Contrade and Fratres who, since 2022, have signed a collaboration protocol with the Aou Senese to strengthen and develop the collaboration in the field of blood and blood component donation. For the occasion, T-shirts celebrating June 14th were created and given as gifts to all the blood donors who donated.

The Aou Senese can only thank the great sensitivity shown by the city and the blood donors. The example of the Sienese rugby players is also beautiful, demonstrating how sport can be an important vehicle of social and solidarity values - added Barretta -: it is the “most beautiful destination” because it strengthens the way of providing information on the topic of football donation blood”.
