Hall for the Euroleague? The Mayor gets busy

If there is one thing that stands out about President Antonini, it is his keeping of his word. In a world of nebulous declarations, Antonini is a certainty. He has the ability to transform the future into the present, with his pros and his cons. He said that he would get the promotion of the two teams, football and basketball, and today the whole city is celebrating.

Rarely do we meet a person who promises and keeps, and we cannot talk about luck, but about merit. Yesterday he launched an idea, which should worry those in charge of the city: moving the team to Palermo for the Euroleague, it seems in fact a hall with a capacity of 9,000 spectators will be needed to play it and the Palailio is insufficient. Whether provocation or planning, our administrators should move, now and immediately, because the city cannot lose a sporting event of this kind just due to the inadequacy of the facilities. And then they must commit themselves, like Antonini so far, to making the dream continue.

Start a feasibility study of a new 10,000-seat arena, look for financing sources and build the structure. There is no lack of time, there are still more than two years left in the best case scenario, but the man does what he says and then I don’t think it’s worth taking any risks. So the ball now passes to Mayor Tranchida and his council, the European dream must come true and live in Trapani which does not deserve such a humiliating penalty. And on a project of this kind the majority and opposition could only unite for the good of the city. And it would be yet another twist attributable to the ineffable Antonini!
