Bertolucci is clear on Sinner’s defeat: “Here’s what it had an impact on”

ROME – Jannik Sinner leaves Roland Garros with his head held high. He does it as the leading number in world tennis against one of the strongest opponents: Carlos Alcaraz. A 4-hour battle, blow for blow, in which the Spaniard ultimately emerged victorious. Paolo Bertoluccia former tennis player and now TV commentator, had his say on Twitter: “Jannik Sinner gives in only after four hours. In the long run, the weeks of stoppages had an impact on the match.” Perhaps the reason for the knockout is really all here. Jannik was coming off a long-term hip injury that didn’t allow him to train in the best way possible. And so the duration of the 4-hour match had a significant impact from a physical point of view. Sinner was on his feet, Carlos still fresh. In the end the fifth set went to the Spaniard. But the challenge between the two has just begun. See you at the next tournament for the rematch.
