Then, close to Mugello, comes Marquez’s shocking declaration that he closes in Pramac with an official bike and the acceleration of negotiations with the official team.

In reality, however, Marc Marquez seemed to have been courted by other teams for some time, starting with KTM which has been trying to make the definitive leap in quality in recent years.. The decision to promote Pedro Acosta in 2025, which arrived before the Italian weekend, however made it clear that the chances of seeing the number 93 on the Austrian bike were very few. But that’s not all, because he added that all KTM brass agreed that Marquez was not an option for the factory team. Also because the objective right from the start was to “give Acosta the space and opportunity to become an absolute superstar with us“. Indeed, he was keen to point out that this would not have been possible if they had brought Marc into the GASGAS Tech3 team garage. So much so that he closed the question by saying: “We don’t need all this attention“.
