The President of the Province, Rinaldo Melucci, welcomed the students of Ipsseoa “Mediterraneo” of Pulsano, of Isiss “M. Lentini- A. Einstein” of Mottola and the Iiss “Quinto Orazio Flacco” of Palagiano were protagonists at the “Interprovincial Games without Borders” of the Game Upi held in Crotone from 25 to 27 May.

Running, long jump, shot put, vortex throw, beach volleyball, beach soccer and sailing are the sports that alternated during the two days in the Calabrian capital after the lighting of the torch which recalls the games of Ancient Magna Graecia .
Game Upi is a national initiative organized by Upi, the Union of Italian Provinces. The objective of the project, which the Province of Taranto has also joined, is to enhance the social inclusion of the new generations through the values ​​of sport as a team, promoting physical and mental well-being, strengthening personal skills and strengthening motivation, youth self-efficacy and resilience.
“This is – declared the president of the Province, Melucci – an important project for the promotion of sport and social inclusion also for disabled children. Thanks to this initiative – he concluded – we are raising awareness among all citizens of the values ​​of sport and a healthy life”.
