Momo Fayea young center on the rise from Unahotels Reggio Emilia, commented on his excellent year in Serie A UnipolSai, which also earned him the Best Under 22 – IBSA award of the regular season in the interview published this morning in the “Gazzetta di Reggio”.
A very important season. “It was truly a beautiful year, I’m very happy and above all I was lucky. Because I found myself in a team where everyone helped me, was close to me and followed me to help me grow. They were all like brothers to me.”
Faye has also had Black as a mentor, one who paired him with a young Clint Capela, since his arrival in March. “Tarik helped me a lot both on and off the pitch. He spoke to me a lot, there is a lot to learn from him, he played at a high level, in the NBA and in the Euroleague. He was precious. And he’s not the only one who was so close to me. I also think of Darion Atkins. In the first part of the season there was no Black, Darion played as a center like me and he also helped me a lot, he gave me a lot of guidance and always followed me.”
Faye hasn’t said anything about his future. “I only think about working, only about growing, about being even hungrier and more motivated, I always have to want to do better. I have no other goals for now, just this. I know I still have a lot to improve in many aspects of the game.”
