Besana in Brianza: Volleyball, all the results of the weekend finals

Another Sunday of finals and this time it is the turn of the Under Cups starting from the female under 13 and then continuing with all the other categories, including the Under 14 and the Under 16. The Cup final closes the day Under 17 men’s. The field that hosted the decisive challenges for the conquest of the trophies is the Palazzetto Perego in Besana Brianza.

Volleyball, Under 13 and Under 14 finals

The morning was inaugurated by the sextets fielded by the finalist clubs in the Under 13 women’s competition. THE Pink Pink Devils of Brugherio immediately take the lead by winning the first set. Aspes’ reaction was not long in coming but winning the second set was not enough to dampen the enthusiasm of the Rosanero athletes who thus won the match and the Cup 2-1 (25-16; 19-25; 25-20).

Immediately afterwards it was the turn of the Under 14 Women’s Cup. Martesana Sanda Carugate and Sgeam Rozzano took to the field. After a hard-fought first set, Sanda takes control of the match by prevailing in all the remaining sets and thus winning the title 3-1 (24-26; 25-20; 25-17; 25-19).

Under 16 and Under 17

The afternoon began with the challenge valid for winning the Under 16 Cup. The sextets of the Pink Devils and Bracco Pro Patria took to the field to set the Besa stadium on fire. The Milanese started off strong, winning the first set but slowly began to concede ground to their rivals who managed to turn the inertia of the match in their favor by winning in 4 sets 3-1 (22-25; 25-22; 25-16 ; 25-20).

The day ended with the last match useful for winning the U17 Cup, the only men’s title. Diavoli Rosa Black and Volley Vittorio Veneto fought for 5 sets and over 2 hours of match. The two teams fought blow for blow to bring the verdict to the last and final set which was then decided in favor of the Milanese team who won the Cup with a score of 3-2 (22-25; 25-22; 25-10; 21-25; 15-10).

The prices

At the end of the event, individual prizes were awarded to the athletes who distinguished themselves. The MVPs elected were: Racca Agata (Aspes Volley) in Under 13, Mazo Aurora (Sgeam Volley) in Under 14, in Under 16 the award went to Tutunaru Sara Elena (Diavoli Rosa) while in Under 17 he was elected MVP De Lacerda Bregantin Tiago (Vittorio Veneto).
The event was attended by the Mayor of Besana Emanuele Pozzoli, and the Councilor of the Lombardy region Alessandro Corbetta.
