“I believe that Oscar emerged from the weekend in Miami even more aware of his strengths. We need to give him due credit. In qualifying he had a very small gap from Lando, probably less than the difference between the two cars in terms of updates. His race performance was very positive and he managed to maintain a really high pace during the first stint of the race. He leaves Miami with a good awareness of his race pace, something he wanted to improve. Furthermore, he demonstrated how much he is worth as a team player. It’s clear he wasn’t happy when we told him he wouldn’t get the full package right away, but he never let us down. He understood the reason and was immediately supportive, like all of Oscar’s entourage.”
