Tuchel: “We played very well in the first leg, but we didn’t win”
The Bayern coach previewed what the match could be like. “The key could be the pace, there will be phases, I don’t think there will be one team that will dominate all the time. There will be phases. We need phases to recover and hurt the opponents when they have the ball.”
Thomas Tuchel (50) recalled the first leg and revealed the keys to trying to win the match. “Nothing is impossible,we played a great match, we played better but we didn’t win. They still have a 51% chance. I remember that, when there was no internet, I would leaf through the World Cup books and always see Butragueno, and now when I return to this stadium that image comes to mind.”
When asked about Harry Kane, he quipped.“What surprised me is how much water and coffee he drinks, that’s all day to the car . AND in excellent shape, we knew he has a great personality, beyond all his qualities. And tomorrow he will have to give his best.”
However, he does not believe that not winning the Champions League is a failure.“If we have to win the Champions League to say we were successful, we will never be happy. The Bundesliga also counts, where we didn’t get what we expected. My assessment is different.”
