Mission accomplished for the cadet team of Sitav Rugby Lyons, who in two weeks will play the promotion final against Rugby Parma, winners of the other semi-final. Another authoritative performance for the Juventus Lions, who closed the matter already in the first half by scoring four tries demonstrating great confidence in the game and highlighting their superiority compared to a never tamed Città di Castello. On the shields the line of three-quarters, lethal in their attacks and capable of sending Nakov, Profiti, Ugolotti, Bassi and Solari towards the goal, thus scoring all the tries scored by the Bianconeri.
The match opens in the best possible way, with the Lyons scoring at the first opportunity with Nakov at the flag. After a timid reaction from the guests, Groppelli extends the distance from the pitch twice, before Profiti’s try which breaks the game. At the end of the first half the Lyons closed the game by reaching 4 goals with the scores of Ugolotti and Bassi. In the second half, a physiological drop in tension allowed Città di Castello to score the first two goals of the double match, which ended with the fifth Juventus goal scored by Solari. Great satisfaction at Lyons, for another goal achieved: only the last act is missing to achieve the much desired promotion to Serie B, pursued for many years.
