Descriptive text here

There are people who if they enter a room they cannot help but be noticed, and Andrea Iannone it’s one of them. Her talent was the passepartout for all the doors, before a well-known story whose contours were still unclear added a chapter to the story: a story that it could have ended like this, without a happy ending, instead Andrea has metaphorically picked up the pen again and started writing again, driven by a passion perhaps with few equals. The rest is history, with a landing in Superbike which immediately became dazzling, so much so that the goal is already the first victory in the category.

Andrea, how happy are you currently from 1 to 10?

“I’m really happy. I’m happy 10 to be back racingin general though you always set yourself goals to achieve and therefore the bar is raised, but I think it’s fundamental in life. As far as racing is concerned, I’m very happy, and I hope to further improve my speed.”

Did you expect to be this fast already? Or did you doubt yourself for even a minute?

“It certainly happened that I had doubts, after all you never know when you’re stuck for a long time: it could go well or badly, nothing was certain, even if I’ve always been confident. If I said I didn’t expect to be fast I’d be lying, given that I have always been very positive, but it was absolutely not a given.”

Iannone, MotoGP and popularity

If you think back to the Andrea of 2019 and the current one, how much and how has he changed? As a person and as a driver.

“You should never look back too much in my opinion. Life has brought me to experience complex situations, which taught me something every day. I found myself much more patient than I thoughtbut in general I hope that this is the year of restarting and all-round happiness.”

What relationship do you have with popularity? Do you like it? Do you care?

“I think you’re never ready for certain things. I have always had a passion for racing, and if you do it the goal is always to become strong and dream big. I think it’s all a consequence: saying that I don’t like my life would be like spitting on the plate I eat from. There are pros and cons, as in all things, but complaining would be bigoted.”

What relationship do you have with MotoGP? Do you follow her?

“To say that I set the alarm clock to follow it, this is not the case. It’s the category I’ve done all my life so I can’t say I don’t like it, but now I’m focused on something else: before I did MotoGP and didn’t follow SBK, now it’s a bit the opposite. MotoGP is certainly the maximum expression of motorbike racing, and this if you are passionate you will be intrigued. I am, so it remains an important interest.”
